Do you LOVE what do you? How a little love goes a long way

I read an interesting article today. It recommended spending a work week classifying all the activities you do into love it and loathe it categories. Literally writing down everything you do into two columns. At the end of the week, take a look at what you love, where you’re energized, where you’re in the zone.

Then, it’s time to start reworking your week to do more of the stuff you love, and less of the stuff you don’t. Most of us (73%) are actually able to modify our jobs to fit our strengths, but only 18% play to their strengths every day. So there’s a big opportunity there to increase the love.

Of course in any job, there’s stuff that you don’t like to do that’s unavoidable. But, research shows that you only need to love 20% of your job to reap the rewards. If you love 20% of what you do, you’re at far lower risk of burnout. And actually increasing that above 20% doesn’t show much benefit. A little love goes a long way ❤️
